Dr. Polesin is a physiatrist and specializes in helping individuals recover from an acute or chronic injury. Her approach is to focus on improving her patients’ function and quality of life, regardless of the medical diagnosis and prognosis.

Dr. Polesin is a graduate of The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the New York Presbyterian-The University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell, where she served as Chief Resident and continues to teach as an Assistant Professor.

Dr. Polesin is Board-Certified in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Management. She is an expert in image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic injections and electrodiagnosis. She has a particular interest in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders, as well as occupational and sports-related overuse injuries. Dr. Polesin strongly believes that patient education, teamwork between healthcare practitioners, and utilization of both traditional and alternative treatments enable significantly better outcomes and ensure the best possible functional recovery.

She is an active member of several scientific organizations, including International Spinal Intervention Society, North American Spine Society, American Pain Society, America Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, as well as the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
