Computer-Assisted Knee Replacement

A computer-assisted knee replacement is a total knee replacement surgery that uses a computer system to increase the precision of the positioning of your knee implant for optimum fit and alignment.

During a computer-assisted knee replacement surgery, your knee doctor will use special probes attached to your body to ensure the proper positioning of your knee joint implant. An infrared camera that is connected to a computer terminal detects the probes. Using the computer terminal, your doctor will guide the placement of your knee implant, helping to ensure proper positioning
