Spinal Osteoarthritis (Spondylosis)

Spinal osteoarthritis (spondylosis) is a degenerative spine disease that causes the individual vertebrae of the spinal column to stiffen or become fixed together, resulting in pain and discomfort that can grow worse over time. Spondylosis usually occurs in one section of the back, either the neck, the top of the back, or the lower back.

Most frequently occurring in older people, symptoms of spondylosis can include numbness, a tingling sensation, weakness, and pain, all of which can spread from the back into the arms and legs depending upon which part of the spine is affected.
