  • “Doctor and staff explained injury and proposed recovery program. Noel set up the procedure very smoothly and took care of the details. Teresa provided excellent post-op prep. Ann provided excellent final prep. Surgery explained in detail prior to event - very nice touch. Staff assisted in getting me up and out the door. Very little post-operation pain - nicely done, Dr. Willis. Post op follow up included "pictures" of the injury and PA explained the procedure - good to hear the explanation. Overall - very professional.”

  • “Just an update on my son Joey. He was diagnosed with osteochondritis dissecan's of the elbow and had to stop pitching last April. After resting for five months, he was able to return to playing baseball in the fall, but only playing 1st base. This April (one year later) he was back at his game. He participated on the high school team (both Freshman and Junior Varsity). He plays for the Wallkill Valley Sr. League and has been doing great! Joey pitches without pain and he feels confident! Their team has won their District Championship and is moving on to sectionals. With Dr. Willis’s decision to rest and to avoid surgery, made one baseball player extremely happy, not to mention his mother. Thank you.”

  • “I went to see Dr. Willis in January of 2012 after an MRI showed I had completely torn my rotator cuff. Dr. Willis was hopeful about my surgery, since my tear was old and massive. I am a drummer and wondered if I would ever play again. Drumming is something that I have done for 35 years. I had surgery on February 10, 2012 and from his expertise, his great team, including Brett the physician assistant, I made a full recovery!  It is now October and I just performed for the first time since surgery and I have never felt better. I am stronger than ever and have zero pain! What was also great was how happy Dr. Willis was when I had my final appointment in July and he realized my full recovery. The look on his face shows how much he cares about his work and his patients.”

  • “I was involved in a bicycle accident and fractured my hip and seriously broke my elbow. I had to be transferred from another hospital where I was initially brought by ambulance and the team at Tri-County Orthopedics (both Drs. Lombardi and Willis and their physician assistants, Oliver Chan and Brett Larsen). They all worked together on my behalf, coordinating the move and getting me scheduled for both surgeries simultaneously. I was completely satisfied with my surgeries and thorough follow up, including occupational therapy immediately to restore range of motion and strength to my arm. I am now two weeks post-op and the poster child for orthopedic surgery thanks to their expertise.”

  • “All of my questions were answered in a timely, friendly manner.”

  • “I had a problem for years with my shoulder which I ignored but ultimately could not rely on it for every day use. I saw Dr. Willis and after x-rays and a MRI, it was determined I required surgery. I returned to work two weeks after surgery, and within eight months consisting of physical therapy and performing a home exercise program, I feel my arm is much stronger than my dominant side. My son was also seen by Dr. Willis from an overuse elbow injury from pitching. It was a toss up between surgery or a more conservative approach and Dr. Willis decided to take the conservative approach. He recommended physical therapy and had him stop playing baseball for a few months that spring. My son was able to return to baseball that fall playing 1st base and this spring he will be able to pitch once again :) I’m extremely pleased with Dr. Willis and the whole Tri-County staff.”

  • “I had an injury to my left wrist which was quite painful and after making an appointment with the front office staff (who were very helpful and professional) I was seen by Dr. Andrew Willis. He was very thorough and professional as well as incredibly knowledgeable. He explained exactly what my injury was, how I could avoid this type of injury in the future, and also provided an exact treatment plan on how I could get myself back on track. I left feeling very cared for by Dr. Willis and his entire staff and my injury healed in no time. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Willis to anyone and everyone and as a matter of fact, I already have! Thank you Dr. Willis for everything! I appreciate it so much.”

  • “From the very first meeting with Dr. Willis to the day of my ACL surgery I couldn't have been more pleased with the attention I received. Dr. Willis made me feel very comfortable about getting my surgery. The staff also was great and tried to make me feel as comfortable as possible. All our questions were answered. I had a great experience at Tri-County Orthopedics.”

  • “I am now under the care of Dr. Willis for my shoulder due to an automobile accident. Dr. Willis explains everything thoroughly in laymen's terms and answers all my questions, no matter how many I have. In fact, on Friday, I have an appointment with Dr. Willis to go over the results of my tests. I would go no where else but Tri-County. They are the best! --Arlene B.”

  • “After being examined by two orthopedic surgeons in my area, I was completely discouraged, as they told me that they would not recommend an operation to repair my right distal tendon. Their reason was that I had waited too long after the injury occurred (six months). Then my daughter suffered a ski accident, which resulted in a torn ACL. She was referred to Dr. Andrew Willis, and shortly after seeing him, he operated and repaired her ACL. I decided to travel 80 miles to see Dr. Willis. After a quick X-ray, he diagnosed my injury as a chronic distal tendon rupture. He talked with me at great length and explained the severity of the injury and what he could do to help me. He exuded an air of confidence and took the time to answer my questions—he even showed me pictures of the operation prior to leaving his office. Two weeks later I had the operation, and the only word I can say to describe the experience is fantastic! Dr. Willis was professional, well-schooled in this procedure, and gave me a sense of confidence in the operation. It has been 3 weeks since my operation, and my bicep muscle is in its original position. I've had absolutely no pain after the operation, and I am now able to move my arm with full extension. I truly feel that Dr. Willis is an outstanding surgeon—I will always be grateful to him for all that he has done for my daughter and I. --Paul P.”

  • “Unfortunately, I have had to visit more than a few orthopedists over the last four years (knee injuries—my son and myself). Fortunately, I found Tri-County. They are an absolute pleasure to deal with, from scheduling, appointments, follow-ups, questions, etc. And, most importantly, of course, is the tremendous care of Dr. Willis. He is a tremendously skilled surgeon and so much more. He goes above and beyond in 'assessing the problem,' is patient and detailed in his explanations, answers all questions (some not even asked), and offers treatment options (as opposed to just defaulting to surgery). I completely trust him with any/all knee issues. As I said, I have had experience with many doctors. Dr. Willis, far and away, is the best doctor I have ever dealt with. His PA, Bret, is also top-notch, as is everyone at Tri-County Orthopedics.”
