Foot & Ankle Surgeon Dr. Michael Goldberger Resumes Annual Foot Care, Footwear Charity Event for Homeless

Fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon Dr. Michael Goldberger of Tri-County Orthopedics will be at Urban Renewal Corp. for his 11th annual free foot health event for the area’s homeless. After pausing last November due to COVID-19 public health concerns, the event will resume this year. Dr. Goldberger and his team will provide free foot health examinations, routine foot care and new winter shoes on Sunday, Nov. 21, starting at 1 p.m. at 224 Sussex Ave.

Now for over a decade, Dr. Goldberger has led a health care team to offer care and support for homeless shelters with specialized care and footwear. The event delivers much-needed foot and ankle care to help vulnerable populations through the winter, with services including:

  • Treating callouses, trimming toenails and completing all routine foot and ankle care needs.
  • Performing foot health screenings and examinations.
  • Providing new, comfortable pairs of shoes.

“We are excited to begin a partnership with Urban Renewal Corp. and honored to offer something that can truly make a difference as we start this giving season,” Dr. Goldberger says. “I am thankful to be able to resume this tradition for our community and help others get back on their feet.”

The director of the Tri-County Orthopedics’ Foot & Ankle Center since 1998, Dr. Goldberger is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle care who sees patients in Cedar Knolls.
