Dr. David Epstein co-authored a clinical study on mini-open Achilles tendon repairs. The seven-year study included over 100 patient cases involving mini-open and open surgical techniques.

The authors concluded that the mini-open technique improved outcomes while decreasing complications compared to the open technique.
