My Comeback Story: Risa O.
Two New Joints in Two Years!

I am 71 years old. I was a professional dancer, and then a personal trainer/health coach for over 40 years. Sadly, my body has taken a beating over these years, yet I wouldn't trade the life I've had for anything. I also have severe scoliosis, which I believe may have contributed to the deterioration of my knee and my hip due to the imbalances in my body.
Why TriCounty?
I considered going to HSS but honestly, I believe there are excellent doctors here in NJ. Dr. Lombardi came highly recommended by a former collegue of his, who happens to be my neighbor and a surgeon himself. I was also referred to the TriCounty practice by friend who is a rertired doctor and had two knees replaced by Dr. Forbes with TriCounty. What better referrals could there be than from other doctors?
First, Dr. Lombardi replaced my knee done in 2023, followed by my hip in 2024. I did not expect my hip to need surgery, but it went downhill fast following the left knee replacement, so back I went to see Dr. Lombardi. He listened to all my concerns and understandably some fears, which I'm sure is quite normal. Overall, my experience was excellent for both surgeries, a year apart. I also appreciate the close contact offered by the office staff and nurses. They were always responsive to my needs during my recovery. I loved the Zimmer app that they used to stay in touch with questions and concerns.
Overall, an excellent experience for two joints over two years.
