The Tri-County Orthopedics Adult Joint Reconstruction Fellowship offers comprehensive, hands-on training in joint replacement surgery under the mentorship of fellowship-trained surgeons at one of New Jersey's leading private orthopedic practices. Fellows are immersed in all aspects of joint reconstruction care, gaining exposure to state-of-the-art surgical techniques, advanced technology, and the operational expertise of a thriving private practice. Our program is designed to develop the next generation of orthopedic leaders, surgeons who are technically exceptional, clinically astute, and prepared for the realities of modern practice.
Curriculum & Expectations
Fellows at Tri-County Orthopedics receive extensive exposure to the full spectrum of adult joint reconstruction, working alongside our surgeons in a high-volume, state-of-the-art private practice setting. Through direct participation in surgical cases, outpatient clinics, and practice operations, fellows develop the clinical excellence and professional foundation needed to become leaders in the field.
Surgical Exposure & Techniques
- Direct anterior hip replacement (DAA) — on and off table, including revision cases
- Traditional posterior approach—primary and revision hip replacement
- Total knee replacement with and without robotics
- Mechanical and kinematic alignment techniques
- Subvastus, midvastus, and traditional medial parapatellar knee approaches
- Bilateral and unilateral primary and revision hip and knee replacements
Program Opportunities & Objectives
- Extensive exposure to performing state-of-the-art outpatient joint reconstruction at a private ambulatory surgery center (ASC)
- Opportunity to learn how to develop and manage an outpatient ASC program
- Understanding the business of orthopedic private practice—operations, strategy, and growth
- Exposure to all aspects of joint reconstruction care, including the latest techniques and technology offered by Tri-County Orthopedics' surgeons
- Mentorship aimed at preparing young surgeons for clinical and leadership roles in the field
