Episode 17 | Life as a Military PA Part One

In this episode of The OrthoZone Podcast, we’re joined by our orthopedic PA, Cameron, as she shares her journey serving as a Physician Assistant in the U.S. Air Force. In part one, she talks about what inspired her to pursue the PA profession, her path through PA school, and how she was introduced to military medicine along the way. Cameron walks us through the process of applying to the Air Force, becoming a commissioned officer, and starting out in family practice before stepping into her specialty role. She gives an inside look at life on base, the unique patient population she cared for, and what her day-to-day responsibilities looked like balancing clinical work with military duties. Cameron also opens up about the pressures that come with serving, the mental resilience required, and advice she has for current and aspiring PA students considering a similar path. Thank you Cameron, for your service to our country. Stay tuned for part two coming next Wednesday!
