Dr. Michael Goldberger to Offer 13th Annual Free Foot Health Event Nov. 24

Fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon Dr. Michael Goldberger of Tri-County Orthopedics will be at Isaiah House for his 13th annual free foot health event for the area’s homeless. The event will provide free foot health examinations and routine foot care as well as new winter shoes through Dr. Goldberger and his team on Sunday, Nov. 24, beginning at 1 p.m. This is the third year the event will take place at the Isaiah House, located at 238 N. Munn Ave. in East Orange.

Now for the past decade, Dr. Goldberger has led a team of health care professionals to service homeless shelters with medical care and footwear. From treating callouses and trimming toenails to providing new, comfortable pairs of shoes, this annual event serves to kick off the giving season by giving those in need better foot health through the whole winter.

“Each year, my staff and I are honored to have the privilege to offer this event and serve our community,” Dr. Goldberger says. “I am proud to continue this partnership with Isaiah House and thankful we can continue this tradition of providing a much-needed service.”

Dr. Goldberger is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle care who sees patients in Cedar Knolls and Livingston at Tri-County Orthopedics. He has been the director of the practice’s Foot & Ankle Center since 1998. After graduating from Emory University, Dr. Goldberger received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College with honors in orthopedic surgery. Upon completing his orthopedic residency, Dr. Goldberger spent a year in specialized foot and ankle surgery training through a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Since 1988, the Isaiah House has been working to reduce homelessness, hunger and unemployment throughout Essex County by providing families and individuals with permanent lodging, meals, social and financial services, comfort and hope.
