New Sports, Shoulder Specialist Dr. Charles Wang at Tri-County Orthopedics in Cedar Knolls, Bridgewater

As of Sept. 1, fellowship-trained sports medicine and shoulder specialist Charles Wang, M.D., has joined Tri-County Orthopedics, the most preferred, recognized and awarded orthopedic practice in the region. Dr. Wang is seeing patients at The Advanced Medical Center at 197 Ridgedale Ave., Suite 300. He is also available at their Bridgewater location at 465 Union Ave., Suite C. Dr. Wang provides advanced care for shoulder, knee and hip conditions as well as sports-related injuries. His experience includes serving as an assistant team physician for a range of professional and collegiate teams, such as Harvard and Boston College as well as the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. 

With expertise in the latest surgical and nonsurgical treatments, he has dedicated his practice to delivering individualized care to patients to get them back to their favorite activities and hobbies as safely and quickly as possible. Dr. Wang’s specialties include:

  • Cartilage restoration.
  • Complex shoulder and knee reconstruction, including knee ligament procedures.
  • Fracture care and orthopedic trauma.
  • Joint injections and orthobiologics.
  • Minimally invasive joint repair through arthroscopic procedures.
  • Joint replacement and robotic-assisted surgery.
  • Rotator cuff tears and shoulder and knee instability.

Dr. Wang graduated from medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, for a combined Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine degree. He then attended New York University/NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in New York City to complete his orthopedic surgery residency before going to Harvard University/Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for his sports medicine and shoulder surgery fellowship.
