  • ““I've had both hips replaced, my left in 2007 and my right in 2008. I will be 49 years old on May 1. It was very scary contemplating this type of procedure at 45, but you get to a point where there really is no other choice. I was too young to give up the quality of life I was used to therefore the choice was very clear. Dr. Goldman was very clear and precise. I knew immediately that he was the man for the job. His confidence was most reassuring in this very stressful time of my life. In both instances I was back to work four weeks later. As a captain in the banquet department of the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, I am on my feet and walking all day long supervising banquet events. I train hard at the gym and continue my martial arts training. There are some days, I can honestly say, that I don't even think about my hips. Thank you, Dr. Goldman, for giving me my life back.   • “After initial failed hip surgery due to poor pin placement (by another doctor at another hospital) and other subsequent failed stop-gap measures (by other doctors), Dr. Lombardi told my 88-year-old mother that it was time to do this job right. He removed the old hardware and did a complete hip reconstruction. My mother fully recovered from the surgery with a well-healed incision and was walking again for the first time in 5 years. Dr. Lombardi said he could fix her hip and he did. His confidence in his ability and appreciation for quality of life for my mother was second to none.   • “Had 'trigger finger' on my right hand. Dr. McBride was completely professional and clearly explained my ailment and alternative approaches to reducing the problem/pain. Eventually, after employing non-invasive treatments, I decided to undergo surgery. The surgery was in-and-out in one day and less of an issue than a bloody nose...and I've had my share of bloody noses. The rehab, however, took about a month, and my right hand is functioning fine. Dr McBride was great to work with throughout. My only suggestion to make the whole thing a bit better is to know that one should ask, before the surgery, what the post-surgery period will entail. I'd go back to Dr. McBride for other hand ailments...and I may have to as my left hand is beginning to act up. --Michael F.”

  • “Chi, Dr. Montgomery's PA, came in first to assess my situation. He was extremely thorough and ordered two X-rays. He was kind and informative and explained how my knees have deteriorated. I was visibly upset, but he was very comforting and assuring. He was wonderful! Dr. Montgomery was not only informative, but he was compassionate and also very comforting. He was straightforward with his diagnosis and suggested options. He also listened to me and that was a first. I appreciated all he said and did. He gave me two shots of cortisone in my knees, and because of that, I have had some relief for the first time in years. My visit was very enlightening and has actually given me hope. I trust him and will seek his recommendation as to who should handle my replacements when the time comes. He is one of the most professional and kind doctors I have ever met. They are an absolute pleasure to deal with, from scheduling, appointments, follow-ups, questions, etc. And, most importantly, of course, is the tremendous care of Dr. Willis. He is a tremendously skilled surgeon and so much more. He goes above and beyond in 'assessing the problem,' is patient and detailed in his explanations, answers all questions (some not even asked), and offers treatment options (as opposed to just defaulting to surgery). I completely trust him with any/all knee issues. As I said, I have had experience with many doctors. Dr. Willis, far and away, is the best doctor I have ever dealt with. His PA, Bret, is also top-notch, as is everyone at Tri-County Orthopedics.”

  • “My experience at Tri-County was excellent. I was taken in for my appointment with Dr. Colizza on time. I found the center inviting, clean, and very professional. Dr. Colizza made my visit comfortable and very informative. I was told I needed a knee replacement on one knee and my torn meniscus repaired on the other. After some discussion, I decided to have my meniscus repaired and put the knee replacement on hold for now. To ease some of the arthritic knee pain, I requested a gel shot at the time of the operation. I am glad I did that, it helped in my recovering with the operated knee. I was able to lean on the injected knee without pain. I decided for my operation I didn't want a hospital environment and requested I go to the Surgery Center in Denville. I was very pleased with this facility and received the up-most professional care there. I am home now recovering and doing very well. I want to thank Dr. Colizza and his staff for a great job. He is a remarkable surgeon and I can't say enough about him or Tri-County Orthopedics. There is no need to be in pain, call now for your appointment.”

  • “I had an unsuccessful Bunionectomy and hammertoe surgery eight years ago. My bunion returned and my hammertoe was not straight and did not purchase (touch the ground). I saw two other surgeons before I chose Dr. Michael Goldberger. The other two surgeons claimed my tendon around my hammertoe could not be released nor repaired. Dr. Goldberger was very confident that he could repair it and he did! He also successfully removed a neuroma from my left foot at the same time. I have been running for 35 years and I now have a titanium plate in my right foot. It’s been five months post surgery and I am now in a partial run/walk workout. I have minimal scarring and I am very pleased with my progress. I do not feel the plate when I walk or run. My only regret is that Dr. Goldberger did not perform my first surgery! Christian Spencer was extremely patient with my recovery questions as well. Their staff is professional and pleasant. Appointments were on time and the overall experience was top notch. I highly recommend Dr. Goldberger and his team.”

  • “I have been seeing Dr. Goldberger for about five years for various ankle Injuries. When seeing Dr. Goldberger for the first time I was actualy walking on the base of my left leg not the foot itself. After several minor ankle surgeries I had to have a minimally invasive ankle replacement (three years ago). About six months after the replacement, I was completely done with physical therapy and three more months later I was walking like I did 30 years ago. Without this type replacement surgery I wouldn't being doing all the activities that I enjoy; walking, camping, gardening, and keeping up with my one year old grandson. The pain/recovery of this surgery is very extensive, but is was so worth it. Dr. Goldberger works with you all long during recovery as a caring orthopedic surgeon!”

Since he has been previously treated by Dr. Hunt for other injuries incurred in the past (including the same elbow), I naturally decided it was best to bring him back to the doctor who knows him best. As always, Dr. Hunt was diligent in his analysis, accurate in his assessment of the injury, and professional with his treatment. Beyond just being an orthopedic doctor, he also has developed a connection (I'll call it a relationship) with both me and my son that makes this unpleasant situation much better by coming to Dr. Hunt. He recommended Ryan go for an arthrogram, which as he suspected, showed a slight tear in a ligament in his elbow.   • “After falling on my elbow in a parking area, I completely shattered it. I was driven by ambulance to Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey. I had never experienced such excruciating pain before. I was x-rayed and the technician's remark after seeing the result was, No wonder you're in so much pain. My wife had driven to Overlook and I asked her to call the orthopedic surgeon who earlier saved my mother-in-law's leg from a pool accident. She called Dr. Colizza and he instructed Shelly to send me up in an ambulance to reserve an OR for immediate surgery. The nurse injected me with morphine so I could handle the pain. Dr. Colizza was just ready to leave the hospital that Friday to prepare for his vacation to Europe the next day. Dr. Colizza made all the arrangements for me to come in for an emergency surgery and it went off without a hitch. He implanted a 7 stainless steel plate and nine screws in my arm. The surgery was a complete success and after three months of prescribed physical therapy, I had more than 90% range of motion. I will never forget Dr. Colizza putting his patient first while delaying his personal plans. He was and is a lifesaver.”
