Local Track Star Back in Action After Rare Foot Surgery With Dr. David Epstein

Former Randolph High School and Wake Forest University track athlete Meghan O'Malley thought her days of competing in high jump, long jump, and triple jump were over when what started as a stress fracture from hurdling developed into a unique navicular bone injury.

"It was so frustrating because the injury just wasn't healing like it should have," said O'Malley, a 2019 Randolph High graduate who competed at the collegiate level through 2024. "What seemed like a typical stress fracture turned into something much more complex."
